I'd say it's rather implied by common sense regardless of any such guide;p

If not, I wouldn't even bother discussing something like that or else our good friend Pixel will have to go by Pascal and no one will know who he is.
Or, maybe, we should have had this conversation with Warly? Or I should tell Solar Designer that some magical netiquette dictates he should be using his real name?

No, he doesn't. He says not to use a silly one. So unless this guy is going by the name H/|x0rg0D or some such rot, it's probably ok. =)
