I'm having a problem with a usb HP Scanjet 6200C scanner while using Mandrake 10.1 It appears the scanner is configured but Xsane bombs out with a message saying "error obtaining option count". I've also tried Kooka - it seems to recognize the scanner with its name and usblib identifier but when the program starts it says No scanner found. I've looked at some of the docs at the SANE homepage and I think the device files used by libusb have the correct permissions. I've also tried starting the program as root and its still the same so I don't think it's a permissions problem. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
