Just to add : related to Gustavo De Nardin email about KDE3 entry 
missing in kdm, after my X server repair process some of my entries 
disappeared also (Normal Gnome, KDE, e17...) and only some were left 
(Gnome/Openbox kde/Openbox):

In the process described by Moreno I saw some of these files missing but 
didn't replace them with --replacepkgs. I'll try to replace them ASAP.
