Great - so I don't have to care about Mandriva? Is this like you
become the maintainer of that package?

If so, I suggest that you subscribe to
pidgin-lastfm-devel@lists.sourceforge.net to track updates and changes
in the source tarball, if something like that should happen.

Otherwise, what do I need to do if there is a new version of the plugin?

Regarding x64 - did you build a package that contains that chage for x64?
