I am not getting these problems, probably because I am running the
firefox 3 beta directly from mozilla. But having said this I have found
that the totem plugin doesn't work with Firefox 3 because of a missing
symbol (I have reported this previously, and it will be looked at when
Firefox 3 becomes available). I am now also finding that potentially
xine does not work properly with it either. Having encountered the totem
problem, I removed the links to the totem plugins from the Firefox 3
plugins directory which then caused firefox to use xine for the same
pages, but all this did was cause the page to be displayed completely in
black with the words 'no video' displayed in the middle, with xine
sitting in the top left corner of the screen complaining it did not get
a url or it did not have the plugin to play the video. The same page
worked fine in Opera.

regards,
Steve
