Oh? It did for me shortly before 2008.1 came out. Blino made laptop-mode
restart on resume IIRC.

Some more tests (slow results I know as I'm only looking at this when I
resume from suspend rather than actively poking!):

Tried running service laptop-mode restart with the standard config this
morning. It didn't seem to help the Load Cycle Count.

Has the patch for 2008.1 that was released been applied in cooker
package? It seems so, but is the 254 value always correct on all HDs?

And does service laptop-mode restart make sense? Or is it a special init
script that just wants "started"?
