Thanks. > > > > -- > > adamw Hi, "works like a charm" ... well most of it actually ;-) I haven' t tried rc1 yet on my eeepc but I'm running an up-to-date cooker on it so I guess my little troubles/missings are still relevant: - battery level still not accurate and shows things like "remaining 110h47" which is fabulous if you really believe it... - Fn-keys don't all work out of the box and deserve a little hands-in-the-grease process - no bootsplash for that resolution or at 640x480 (ok not a big deal but makes it much more attractive than the booting stuff) - KDE Smooth scrolling is a real PITA on konqueror on eeepc and seems to be on by default (for the record "kwriteconfig --key SmoothScrolling --type bool false" was my friend) - switching to an external screen (ie TV) deserves improvements to work like on the initial Xandros install - ifplugd wifi link beat going on and off and on and off every 4/5 minutes even at 2 meters from the source - sound cracking when soliciting CPU (ie moving windows under compiz when listening a mp3) - ... However, don't get me wrong, what works out of the box is the major part and I really enjoy it, and I don't say that what doesn't work is due to Mandriva ! And by the way , it's still cooker... My point was just to stress that Mandreeeva still deserves attention like it's done on other distribs-that-should-not-be-named :-) http://cpjc.free.fr/index.php/eeepc Cheers Berthy
