Before 2008.1 comes out, I think we could fix up some more
inconsistencies with the Mandriva menu under GNOME.

1. Serpentine is under Tools, but Brasero under Sound & Video. Brasero
is also used to burn data disc's you know.

2. Icon for Tight VNC is horrible.

3. Tvtime, despite not being gtk-based, should not be in "More". It's
the default tv viewer, and desktop agnostic.

4. We still have this odd duplication of apps in both Applications >
Tools > System Tools as well as System > Administration. Included are
both Gnome stuff and 3rd party stuff like gkrellm and htop. I suggest
getting rid of System Tools.

5. Mtink has no icon.

6. System > Preferences > Advanced makes no sense. It only has
gconf-editor (which is advanced) and session control (which is not
advanced at all really), yet if we got rid of the former, there would
only be one entry in it, making it silly. I suggest either categorizing
the entire Preferenced menu (a la Fedora 8) or just eliminating the
Advanced category altogether.

7. Icon for z42 tool is horrible and unreadable.

8. It's a bit confusing how wine icons work. Installed win32 apps go
into Applications > Wine > Programs, but bundled wine apps are in
Applications > Tools > Emulators > Wine. Logic would say they belong in
the same place, or at least close together.

Anyone want to comment or start working on these issues?

Austin
