8.42.3 installed ok, but freezes the whole os when i start x with it.
(note: using drakx11 wants to install 8.41.7)

using radeonhd by now with this card, it works very well (better than
vesa, where i'm limited in resolution).


note that since this is my first days with this hardware, i'm not really
familiar with the ati family.
