Hi all...
I have got a new laptop at work (Acer 6292), and I have installed cooker on
it. Everything works flawlessly, apart from two small things:
- Compiz does some strange thing. The laptop has an Intel 965GM graphics
card, so I use the 'intel' driver for it. The GDM screen appears OK,
but when I log in the screen goes black. Then I discovered that if I
swith to an VT, then back to X (VT7), my screen is there and everything
goes smooth, all compiz efects work pretty fast.
I don't know which piece of software is responsible (compiz, x11-intel,
some acpi setting that dims the screen, etc...)
Any idea ?
- Can I do WPA2 in linux ? My home router is in mixed mode, but I can't
find a setting to say 'use WPA2'. BTW, the wireless setup in netapplet is
really nice !!
TIA
