hddtemp is a tool that gives you the temperature of your IDE or SCSI
hard drive (that support this feature) by reading S.M.A.R.T.
information. Only modern hard drives have a temperature sensor.

Strangely enough, the hddtemp tool works fine for me, but the GNOME hardware sensors applet doesn't show the hddtemp like it does with SUSE 10.1, on the very same machine. Anyone know what's going on, do SUSE have special patches?
