Hal should send apropriate message over DBUS to KDE to announce the presence of a new device, AFAIK. I will post the lshal output later when I get to the machine affected. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandriva.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: tvignaud@mandriva.com status: UNCONFIRMED distribution: cooker creation_date: description: When I plug in my FireWire drive, it is not automounted. The drive is recognized fine, though, but I have to mount it by hand afterwards. If the drive is connected using its USB2.0 port, I get an offer from KDE to mount it right away.
