      Distribution: cooker
Summary: Default install squid http_port is unnecessarily broad
           Product: squid
           Version: 2.5.STABLE4-1.100mdk
          Platform: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: normal
         Component: security
        AssignedTo: daouda@mandriva.com
        ReportedBy: ftg@adelphia.net

The standard squid.conf comments out the http_port directive, which I
think defaults it to port 3128 and accept requests from anywhere.

Does this make sense for a base install ? Or should it start out as
127.0.0.1:3128 (only service this machine), and get changed only by
"Share your internet connection", and then only to the subnet and
localhost ?
