------- Comment #1 from till@mandriva.com 2005-10-29 21:08 -------
The capt.xml is not needed, for this driver there is a

/usr/share/cups/model/capt/Canon-LBP-810-capt.ppd.gz

in the printer-filters package (the same package which already contains the
driver itself).

I have tried to install a Canon LBP-810 (manually choosing it, as I do not have
the printer), in expert mode (switchable in the "Options" menu of the main
window of printerdrake) I could install it without problem, and once having
installed it I could modify the option settings in both normal and expert mode.
I can reproduce your problem when setting up the printer in normal mode.

So for now, switch to expert mode and set up your printer. I will look into the
problem.

As I reported some months ago, the driver for the Canon LBP-810 exists and is
called Capt. Someone in the Mandriva team added it to the official package.

I've just reinstalled a vanilla Mandriva, and I tried to install my printer with
the default package of Mandriva, but it doesn't work, and here is the output of
printerdrake :

An "urpmf" on the /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/driver/capt.xml file does not
find any file in any packages, so I think this file is missing.

Thanks!
