Well, the official word has come down, and due to University policy, I can't offer an IT resource to non-university personel. If I was going to be the major contributor/coder, I could, but I can't just put up a "compile box" for general use by the public. For the record, my boss said it was OK; this has to do with policy over which he has no control. The idea was suggested to me to donate this box to a private entity, and then get it co-located, but I don't know how likely that is to happen (other issues about donating stuff instead of going through surplus).
