But yesterday I logged into the cooker chroot, which has similar packages. I got a message at login time, I think it was about gconfd not starting, but otherwise it seemed to work. gdm works there, too. I only have a problem with the new XFree86 4.4RC: the e key gets mapped to mean backspace. I have to use xmodmap to fix it. Christiaan
