Hi all, Sorry, to get off track. I'm just an eager newbie trying to get it to work. Actually, I think I made a mistake with the cube. My last succesful system was a Powerbok G4 Titanium (500MHz) w/ the ATI Rage. I had so many problems with it, that Apple upgraded it to the Powerbook G4 Titanium (667MHz) w/ the ATI Radeon Mobility. Before, I don't believe I got either the cube, nor the newer Powerbook to work. But reading through the archives, the Titanium updates look encouraging. Back to the Cube + Radeon, I was wondering if I can do anything here. I am only guessing, but I think the video resolution is being set to 1152x768, which is incompatible with the Apple Studio Display 15 (15" LCD, 1024x786, 72dpi). I remember seeing others with different video card run into similar problems, but I am unsure how they steered around this. I have two ideas from this vantive: (1) Try multi-sync monitor with cube that supports 1152x768. (2) See if I can change the default video resolution. Number 2 would be ideal for the rare celestial occurance that someone else might have a similar config. Before I mention that I found this file: /Mandrake/mdkinst/etc/X11/XConf-radeon One video mode was specified as 1152x7668. Is this the file that is used? Is there anyway I can change this to get it to work. I can mount the iso image, edit the files, and then burn a modified ISO image. Though, I am totally unfamilar with edit these configuration files. It looks logical, but I am worried, that these settings refer to something else. I coudn't find anyother configurations for other video cards. Are these compressed somewhere? - Joaquin Menchaca __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Y! Web Hosting - Let the expert host your web site http://webhosting.yahoo.com/
