No, there isn't any driver with this name. If I try in XF86Config, it 
fails with :

(EE) LoadModule: Module ati_old does not have a ati_oldModuleData data 
object.
(EE) Failed to load module "ati_old" (invalid module, 0)
(EE) No devices detected.

Maybe it's x86 specific.

I'm not sure it is still required in recent kernels. Try 
"/usr/sbin/fbset" in a terminal. If it says "accel : true", the console 
is accelerated.
