try transtype -

there are others as well, the main item is Fontographer.
then there's TTConverter which is really free.
and dare i say it - Micro$oft GIVES SOMETHING AWAY -
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fontpack/default.htm
i would never be without Verdana, Trebuchet and Andale Mono all in the right format...
