Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody has a MSI/NVidea board up and running under AMD 64-bit Linux?

For example the boards FX5900 XT-VTD128 or the FX5950 Ultra-VTD256 from MSI!

I know NVidea has Linux 64-bits drivers on there web page for download. However I need to know if anybody have tried the above Boards.

Will the DVI output work??

I have talked to MSI in Germany today and they promised it should work with the drivers from NVidea's homepage.

Can anybody confirm that????

I can only tell you that my Asus Geforce 5600 works fine with VGA and the nv driver. The former version of the Nvidia driver would crash my machine from time to time (AGP problem) but there is a new revision of the driver which I need to test.

Maybe the AGP problem is due to my MSI K8T Neo board since VIA chipsets have an AGP implementation that is said to cause crashes.

Maybe you should buy a NForce motherboard ?

sincerely,
