Hi,
I decided to try the AMD64 Cooker on my new AMD Athlon 64 3000+ machine. What is the best way to install it from the internet? Are there any documents about this. I have never done Linux inszall from internet so I would appreciate as much help as possible.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
My suggestion would be downloading the three ISO files, burn them on CD-R(W) and install Mandrake. Afterwards, add the Update Sources to RPMDRAKE and use MandrakeUpdate to install all Updates. You may also need to add the Cooker Sources to RPMDRAKE in case you want to use newer software than comes with RC1, like k3b 0.11 instead of 0.9 or gaim 0.75 instead of 0.74 and probably in a few days, KDE 3.2 instead of 3.1.5
Hm isn't that the same way as the normal installation? I would still like some info on true installation from internet.
BTW where can I find Cooker ISO images for AMD64? Which mirror has the latest ones?
