It doesn't matter all that much.  Plug whatever cable you can get into
whichever jack it fits.  Only.. just be sure you don't get power crossed
to ground or something.  <g>  Your mobo or DVD might take up smoking! <g>

However, that's not generally a problem with audio, which is
signal/ground, in most cases, including standard CD jacks, so the worst
that should happen is you short out the audio and either hear only one
side or don't get anything.    One of those might be mono, for a
voice-modem connection or some such, tho, which would kill your stereo if
you connect to it, and MIGHT include a hot pin.  Thus, be sure and check
the pin-outs on them if you don't use the CD one specifically, just to be
sure.

Anyway.. the other thing that might happen, is you use the aux slider to
adjust CD volume instead of the CD slider, but that's no biggie.
