I have a working ddd (x86 version) :
ddd-3.3.6-2mdk
My lesstif (some versions are known to crash DDD) is :
lesstif-0.93.94-1 (not a mdk package : Build Host: dell.roesel.skynet.be).
I am sorry, but I did not take notes when I solved my problem. Anyway I 
clearly remember that everything went fine after I followed the advice 
of Jeremy Barnes. See
