I am also having problems with ATI Radeon 9800 Board. I am only able to have a resolution of 800 x 600!? I can only get it to work if I use the fbdev driver. If I try to use the fglrx I have only errors even with the lowest resolution??? Any suggestions??? I would like to follow your help. However how do you make a new modprobe.conf?? About the rpm 4.3 from ATI - I have downloaded it and tried to install it. But it gives a lot of error of missing files??? Do you have the DVI output to work also??
