That was the fix, thanks! You're probably trying to list a directory with more than 399 entries. This is fixed in coreutils-5.0.91-7mdk: Try this package:
ftp://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/Mandrake-devel/cooker/amd64/Mandrake/RPMS/coreutils-5.1.0-2mdk.amd64.rpm
which should fix it.
I'm "still" running 9.2rc2. What do others run? Cooker?
The system I have access to (turaco.mandrake.vpn) builds the current cooker packages and is also running cooker.
regards,
Stefan
I also see that seg fault with Corp Server 2.1 AMD64 with many files in a directory. Will this package work on this older version as well?
the usual disclaimer: cooker is a development distribution --> i.e. unsupported. YMMV, etc.

Stefan
