During the mouse selection on 9.2RC1, I can get the system to boot properly with passing idle=poll to the kernel, but, when i select any type of mouse, the mouse stops responding and i get a message saaying that it's missing usbmouse module. I looked for this module in /lib/<kernel> but, there is no "real" directory there. I don't know the name of this module, or i would load it, and continue the install.... The one time i did just not worry about the mouse, and went on, it hung on the package selection. I am fairly sure this is not a hardware problem, because i use gentoo and XP on this computer regularly. The motherboard is an ASUS k8v deluxe.... TIA --reno
