For me it bombs out earlier (k8v, 1.004 BIOS, Logitech mouse), but I use legacy USB for my USB keyboard. From eariler experiances with 2.6/amd64 systems, i had legacy usb supportdisabled in the bios.
When i hit the mouse selection of the install, the driver freaks out when i choose _any_ type of mouse.
Anyone know how to fix this?
With legacy USB the install will hang unless I boot with
linux idle=poll
and I can select the USB mouse correctly.
The install that you get works without that parameter, at least for me (with 1 GB RAM).
