Hi Brent The current development XFree86 has a 'via' driver which has support for Via K8M800, among other things. This means it should be in XFree86 4.4, which will hopefully be released soonish since they are currently testing Release Candidate 2. I don't believe the Via driver is in the XFree86 distribution that comes with Mandrake, but there is a good chance that someone will release it as an RPM after XFree86 4.4 has been officially released. You can always compile it yourself if you feel so inclined. > I'm particulary interested the the Shuttle XPC supposwedly comming out > with this chipset in early 2004. I can't compare the nForce3 150 to the Via chipsets, but I can say that I've had very few problems with my nForce3 (Gigabyte GA8NNXP). Not sure what gives you the idea that the Via chipsets are more stable, but certainly buy what you think will be the best for your needs. Remember that home 64-bit OS's are still a little green, so you have to expect some small issues along the way. Greg
