For shits and giggles I compiled it without scsi, and was able to create 2.6 RPM, but it, of course, can't find any of my boot devices. I'd recommend grabbing the 2.6 mandrake src RPM and tinkering with it, instead of vanilla 2.6. I'm going to put some real effort into it on the weekend.
