The mobo is speced only to PC2700 as well. However, I decided to go with
the higher speced PC3200, as the price difference was insignificant, since
I was already paying for registered memory and wanted ECC as well, and the
registered/ecc part was what added the real $$, while 3200 is already
common enough, as I said, the price difference was insignificant, in
comparison. The BIOS doesn't have the fine tuning on memory timings I'd
like that I've been able to find, anyway (some boards/BIOSes have a secret
key combo to get the advanced BIOS setup, but if this one does, I haven't
found it), or I'd try running it at a lower CAS since I'm probably
underclocking the accesses.

However, as I said, the price difference was insignificant, only a few
bucks on sticks already over $100 a piece, and it might save me an
immediate memory upgrade the next time I upgrade the mobo, so I think it
was worth it. I know I was wishing I'd gotten registered the last time I
upgraded memory on my old board, when I realized that's what the new board
would require, and I remember how nice it was back when I upgraded to my
first Athlon and I could transfer my old PC100 from my socket-7 to my
Slot-A.
