Will it still be possible to install 9.2 after VIA releases the official
drivers?  Windows has that option for third-party RAID/SCSI drivers, does
9.2 have the same thing?  Or am I basically SOL until some distro includes
the Via drivers standard?

Sorry, only software RAID is supported with libata based (open source)
drivers at this time.

VIA is in the validation process of their native drivers with RAID support.
Unfortunately, it's unlikely to be part of the final 9.2 ISOs. We only have
non-distributable beta version of the drivers.
