Unfortunately, the test XFree86 servers segfaulted here so I reverted 
to old -24mdk. Sorry, it was not release critical to bother with. There 
may be later updates though, when it is proven stable.

You may be stuck with fbdev support. BTW, SuSE people have hacked up a 
way to use 32-bit ATI drivers but I found kernel & xf86 patches too 
intrusive at this stage.
