Hi all,

I have an Asus SK8N motherboard with an Initio 910UW (Ultrawide) SCSI card,
and I'm having problems booting with the SCSI card plugged in. Without the
card plugged in, the system boots fine off of S-ATA.

I've run in several configurations:

- No devices, SCSI card set to auto terminate
- A mix of external SCSI devices with the SCSI card set to auto terminate
- A mix of external SCSI devices with the SCSI card set to termainte per the
manual

All of these seem to result in the same error when booting with Mandrake 9.2
RC1 for AMD64 (sorry for the typos - I'm entering this by hand):

-----------------
Loading initio.o module
i91u: PCI Base=0xD800, IRQ=5, BIOS=0xFF000, SCSI ID=7
i19u: Reset SCSI Bus ...
scsi2 : Initio INI-9X00U/UW SCSI evice driver; Revision: 1.03g
scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 64, scsi2, channel 0, id 0, lun
0, Inquiry 00 00 00 ff 00
-----------------------

It never gets any further than the above (at least not for 15 minutes or so).

BTW, the SCSI devices are recognized by my HP Omnibook 800 CT with built in
SCSI, so I'm pretty sure it's not an issue there.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance.
